The Hot Club of Buffalo is a 4-piece World and Gypsy Jazz band and 7-time winner of Jazzbuffalo.org’s  “Best World Jazz group”. Gypsy Jazz music was pioneered in the 1930s by virtuoso guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stéphane Grappelli. This style blends the swing and improvisation of American jazz with the exotic melodies and rhythms associated with European Romani (Gypsy) music.  The Hot Club of Buffalo is also inspired by the music of Spain and South America and performs rhumba and bossanova styles.
