Michael Waite:

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Michael Waite weaves together folk, jazz, Americana, blues, and classic singer/songwriter elements into songs that explore the nuances of everyday life while staying grounded in the pursuit of happiness and wholeness. He has a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance, along with the education of a fifteen-year-long Taco Tuesday residency in a hotel lounge playing songs pulled off of a request wheel. While his music rings with the sounds of roots American music, his songs and arrangements have a fresh creativity and feature vocal improvisations informed by his first instrument, the jazz trombone.

Mike Bjella - Mike Bjella is an improviser, composer and public school teacher in Vermont. Mike performs on the saxophone and clarinet and plays in a wide variety of musical contexts and genres - often from one night to the next. He has toured throughout Europe, North America and South America as a leader and sideman with Nomad, Michael Waite, Peter Peter, Chronicle Infinitas, Leif Vollebekk, the Blue Rock Boys, Pablo Held and many more.

Harry South is a double bassist and music educator residing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Harry grew up outside of Flint, Michigan where he played in the school band and in local rock groups. In 2007, Harry moved to Marquette, Michigan where began studying the double bass. He received a bachelor's degree in music education from Northern Michigan University and currently teaches orchestra at Negaunee Public Schools. He performs in classical, jazz and folk ensembles in the Great Lakes region.

Coming off the recent release of "We've Always Been at Home", Michael Waite will venture out of his home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for this East Coast tour. Michael will be joined by longtime collaborators Harry South and Mike Bjella.
